As time goes by for GTA Online, it's getting harder and harder to get money because apparently everything pays less and things cost more and more. My goal in this tutorial will be to present some solutions to help people of all levels to make money as quickly as possible in the game, without using cheats, exploits, etc.

Before we begin the tutorial, I wish to highlight a few things:

  • The version 1.37 was the one I used as a basis for crafting this tutorial. If you are reading this at a later date, it may be that some tips are not valid, so stay tuned.
  • All values to be presented in this tutorial do not take into account Rockstar's promotions. However, always stay tuned in the Rockstar Newswire, because from time to time these promotions not only reduce various acquisition costs, but also increase the payments of some businesses (as in the image of the introduction of the tutorial, it is a screenshot of mine of February 15, 2017, on this date the goods and MC businesses were paying 25% more than normal).
  • The content presented here will be a mix of information available in the GTA Wikia, and my personal experiences.
  • The tutorial will be divided according to the money available for investment, so look for the topic that is right for you!

All ready? Let's start.

I just started and I'm broke!

This session will be dedicated to you who just started playing GTA Online and do not have a penny. Because they require small investments, the options usually also pay less.

Tip 1: Contact Missions

Payment: About GTA$ 15,000 per mission.
Time: On average 10 to 20 minutes per mission.
Compulsory investment: None.
Recommended investment: None.
Requirement: If you are to create the mission, you need at least level 5, otherwise there are no requirements.

To start the contact missions, simply pause the game, in the Online menu, Jobs option, then Jobs Created by Rockstar, followed by the Contact Missions option. Always play on hard difficulty without auto-aim. If it is possible, play with the camera locked in first person and with friends from the same clan, because all these options increase the reputation (XP) and the reward.

Usually missions of higher levels tend to pay more, some even pay GTA $ 30,000. This is an interesting option for those who are really starting, because the missions are usually not complex and the reward in reputation form are very good.

Tip 2: Pacific Standard Farm

Payment: Maximum GTA$ 1,005,650 per heist.
Time: On average 1 hour and 15 minutes per heist, considering a good team.
Compulsory investment: Whoever is hosting needs to own a high-end apartment - from GTA$ 200,000. The initial cost of this heist adds to the host plus GTA$ 100,000. The rest of the people do not need to invest anything.
Recommended Investment: It is recommended that at least one member of the team own a Kuruma (Armored) - from $ 525,000 GTA. All are recommended to have a Heist Heavy Combat kit, to reduce damage - average cost of $ 20,000 GTA.
Requirement: Whoever is hosting the match must be at least level 12 and must have made the four previous strokes to have that one released.

To start this heist, the host should go to his apartment and choose the latter option in the Heist Room, which will be The Pacific Standard Job. Having a team that knows exactly what to do is highly recommended, to avoid restarting the missions and losing money during the escape.

The maximum payout mentioned above considers that the person did not start the heist, did the five preparation missions at the maximum difficulty - with total gains of GTA$ 130,650, took the highest percentage of possible gains, 70% of the total at the maximum difficulty - representing GTA$ 875,000, without losing a dime during the escape, but this is hypothetical numbers of the best possible scenario. In normal situations, with the team and the fair cut (40/20/20/20), the normal amount in maximum difficulty is a total between GTA$ 380,000 and GTA$ 400,000.

After a recent update, it is no longer possible to use the garage near the bank to escape with Kuruma (Armored). To lose as little money as possible, I've done the following: Kill the civilians to call NOOSE, when it's time to escape, keep two people inside the bank and two people clearing the way and picking up the checkpoints up to the bikes. Once this is done, you must destroy the four bikes and these players must go down the street and follow the left, next to the Ammu Nation, there will be an armored car from NOOSE. Both of them take the car, return to the bank, pick up the other two players, do the checkpoints with them and the team escapes in the highway to the west of the map, directly to the boat.

Tip 3: "All in Order" Challenge

Payment: GTA$ 1,000,000 for completing the challenge, it is not possible to complete the challenge more than once! It should be added to that the profit of the heists, which considering the cut of 40% in maximum difficulty, add more GTA$ 1,258,250.
Time: On average 6 to 10 hours of play.
Compulsory investment: For this challenge it is highly recommended that you create the heists, so you need a high-end apartment - from GTA$ 200,000. All initial costs of heists add up to over GTA$ 245,900.
Recommended Investment: It is recommended that at least one member of the team own a Kuruma (Armored) - from GTA$ 525,000. All are recommended to have a Heist Heavy Combat kit, to reduce damage - average cost of GTA$ 20,000.
Requirement: Whoever is hosting the heist must be at least level 12.

All in Order

This challenge is not difficult to do, it only requires a lot of patience, since you shouldn't do another strike until it is completed. To complete the challenge you need to make the five heists, including all preparations in order, from the Fleeca to the Pacific Standard! There is no other restriction to win this challenge, you can do with any team, in any difficulty, to die as many times as you need, and so on.

Note that if you have a team it is perfect because you will also get the "Loyalty" challenge, with a bonus of more than GTA$ 1,000,000, see more details below.

Tip 4: “Loyalty” Challenge

Payment: GTA$ 10,000,000 by completing the challenge, it is not possible to complete the challenge more than once! If you have not done the "All in Order" and "Loyalty" challenges until then, you will earn an additional GTA$ 2,000,000. It should be added to that the profit from the heists, which considering the cut of 40% in maximum difficulty, add more GTA$ 1,258,250.

Loyalty

This challenge is not difficult to do, it only requires a lot of patience, since you shouldn't do another heist until this is completed. To complete the challenge you need to make the five heists, including all preparations, from the Fleeca to the Pacific Standard, with the same team! There is no other restriction to win this challenge, you can do in any difficulty, in any order, die as many times as you need and so on.

Note that if you do it in order it is perfect, as you will also get the "All in Order" challenge, with a bonus of over GTA$ 1,000,000, see more details above.

Tip 5: "Criminal Mastermind” Challenge

Payment: GTA$ 10,000,000 by completing the challenge, it is not possible to complete the challenge more than once! If you have not done the "All in Order" and "Loyalty" challenges until then, you will earn an additional GTA$ 2,000,000. It should be added to that the profit from the heists, which considering the cut of 40% in maximum difficulty, add more GTA$ 1,258,250.

Criminal Mastermind

This is the ultimate challenge of GTA Online, but do not be scared because it is not that difficult to complete. In the week I'm writing this tutorial, I've helped my two nephews win this challenge, and both are recent players. I will not go into detail here because I created here on our site a specific tutorial for this challenge, you can read it in this link.

Tip 6: Daily Objectives

Payment: GTA$ 1,400,000 every 28 consecutive days.
Time: On average 1 hour per day.
Compulsory investment: None.
Recommended investment: None.
Requirement: You need to be at least level 15 to have this function.

The daily quests are great for anyone who is starting the game and needs money. With relatively little time per day you can earn up to GTA$ 1,400,000 every 28 consecutive days. Every day you will have three objectives to fulfill, they appear in the interaction menu, option "daily objectives" (M on the computer, Back on Xbox or Select on Playstation) as shown in the image above. If you meet all three, you get a bonus in cash and reputation.

The financial bonuses are as follows: GTA$ 25,000 per day, GTA$ 100,000 every 7 days and GTA$ 500,000 every 28 days. Note that the values are not summed, but they can be repeated as many times as you want.

For example, these would be the daily earnings (in thousands of GTA$): 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 100, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 100, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 100, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 500, [repeat] - 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 100, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 100, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 100, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 25, 500, [repeat], ...

Every 28 consecutive days you have GTA$ 1,400,000 in earnings: (24x GTA$ 25.000) + (3x GTA$ 100.000) + (1x GTA$ 500.000).

If you fail to do any of the goals for a day, the entire count is reset. Goals are always modified/reset at midnight EST time.

I already have a certain playing time and I have money, where should I invest?

This section will be dedicated to you who already have a certain time of GTA Online and have a few million in the account. By requiring larger investments, the options also pay more.

Tip 1: Motorcycle Club Business (MC)

Payment: GTA$ 126,000 up to GTA $420,000 per sale (considering recommended investment in machinery improvements).
Time: From 3 to 6 hours to fill each business (considering the investment recommended in improvements of personnel and machinery, also considering that the business has supplies all the time).
Compulsory investment: You need to own a motorcycle club - from GTA$ 200,000. Each business costs between GTA$ 715,000 and GTA$ 1,852,500.
Recommended investment: Improvements for your business, at least for personnel and machinery, these two added costs range from GTA$ 745,000 up to GTA $1,431,500.
Requirement: Own an MC and be playing GTA Online for production. Own and be active in MC to sell the products.

The mechanics of the Motorcycle Club Business, or MC Business to short, regardless of the chosen one, are the following: You will fill the supplies (through missions or buying them) and with this your business will automatically produce a certain product, when you wish you can sell and get great profits. The big differential of these deals is that, you being online in the game and the business having supplies, it will be producing, so you can go doing other things.

Note that you need to be on GTA Online so that the products are being produced, otherwise the production stops until you enter the game, no matter if you are doing missions or having fun with friends.

Important: If you do not already have any of the business that I will list below, I seriously recommend you start with one or two MC deals because you will have free time for other activities, since your intervention here will be exclusively to fill the supplies and sell the products.

Full product production requires an average of 12 to 13 "supply" blocks, meaning on average you will need to fill your business at least two and a half times for it to complete production. The more product you have, the more you earn per unit sold (as well as CEO goods), so it's always worth waiting for production to get full.

As of the date of this tutorial, you can only have one business in each category available: cocaine, methamphetamine, forged money, weed and document forgery.

"But Bruno, businesses have a very large price discrepancy, for example: the cocaine has options from GTA$ 975,000 to GTA$ 1,852,500. Will this affect the sale value? Why is there such a difference?"

The location does not affect the sales value of the product, ie a full charge of cocaine (considering the recommended investment in machinery improvements), will be sold for GTA$ 420,000 regardless of which cocaine factory you bought.

"But then why does it have value difference?" Simple: The location. When you buy in the city, your sale is in Blaine Country, which usually has a small density of players, who buys in Blaine Country or Paleto Bay and wants maximum profit, has to sell the product in the downtown, which is usually full of people.

You need to be in a public session to make the supplies or sales. Remember that here on the site we have a step-by-step tutorial on how to do public sessions just for you, for this just open this link.

The only delivery mission that I have not been able to do to-day is the mail vans. When I get this mission, I turn off the Internet and wait for the game to lose the connection, when I come back, approximately half a square of product will be lost, in this case just wait for it to fill and sell again.

In order, the businesses with the highest sales values are: cocaine (GTA$ 420,000, 5h), methamphetamine (GTA$ 357,000, 6h), forged money (GTA$ 294,000, 5h20m), weed (GTA$ 252,000, 5h20m) and Document Forgery (GTA $ 126,000, 3 hours).

* Values per sale followed by total production time, considering the recommended investment in improvements of machinery and personnel, also considering that the business will not run out of supplies.

Tip 2: Cargo Sale (CEO)

Payment: GTA$ 240,000 up to GTA$ 2,200,000 per warehouse.
Time: From 5 to 20 minutes per mission. From 6 to 111 missions to fill a warehouse.
Compulsory Investment: You need to own an CEO office - from GTA$ 1,000,000. Warehouse prices (disregarding improvements) range from GTA$ 250,000 to GTA$ 3,500,000. You have to buy the products to resell them in the future, the costs to fill a warehouse (disregarding losses) are from GTA$ 32,000 up to GTA$ 666,000.
Recommended investment: Travel between points can be done much faster with Buzzard Attack Chopper - GTA$ 1,750,000, as you can request his immediate spawn through CEO skills.
Requirement: Be active in your CEO business.

Imagine a profit of up to GTA$ 9,890,000, it seems like I'm talking about the "Criminal Mastermind" challenge, but in fact I'm considering selling five large warehouses buying products in small amounts. It sounds like a joke, but it's not.

You need to buy the goods, store them and then sell them. For this you need to first own the CEO business and then own at least one warehouse. In the game there are small warehouses (16 goods), medium (42 goods) and large (111 goods). The costs vary by location, plus size. Small warehouses cost between GTA$ 250,000 up to GTA$ 400,000, medium cost between GTA$ 880,000 up to GTA$ 1,017,000 and large costs between GTA$ 1,900,000 up to GTA$ 3,500,000. Your business can simultaneously own up to five warehouses.

Goods purchases always happen in the CEO's office. If you buy one cargo, you will pay GTA$ 2,000, if you buy two cargos, you will pay GTA$ 8,000 (or GTA$ 4,000 per cargo) if you buy three cargos, you will pay GTA$ 18,000 (or GTA$ 6,000 per charge). Note that there is a time you have to wait between missions from the same warehouse. Cooldowns exist by warehouse, ie if you have two warehouses, while one is waiting, you can go doing the mission of the other.

As you can see, the quantity purchased directly affects the cost you have to fill the warehouse, to exemplify: small warehouses have a cost of GTA$ 32,000 up to GTA$ 92,000; Medium warehouses have a cost of GTA $ 84,000 up to GTA$ 252,000 and large warehouses can cost GTA$ 222,000 up to GTA$ 666,000, however in return, this affects inversely proportional to the time to fill, the more boxes you carry in the same mission, the faster will fill the warehouse. At this very moment I have done only with large supplys (3 units), because even with the cost increase, I see selling faster with higher cost being a more viable option than filling up much slower.

The sale of the products always happens in the warehouse you want to sell. The ideal is always to fill the warehouse to sell, as the value per box of product is high according to the amount of boxes you have, to exemplify: full small warehouses are sold for GTA$ 240,000 (GTA$ 15,000 per box), Full medium warehouses are sold for GTA$ 735,000 (GTA $ 17,500 per box) and full large warehouses are sold for GTA$ 2,200,000 (GTA$ 20,000 per box).

You need to be in a public session to buy or sell the products. Remember that here on the site we have a step-by-step tutorial on how to do public sessions just for you, for this just open this link.

Remember that you can and should intersperse the business, meaning it is worth checking your motorcycle club, filling up the MC business and the bunker, then re-doing the business that require your direct participation as cargo sale and vehicles sale.

Tip 3: Vehicle Export (CEO)

Payment: GTA$ 15,000 up to GTA$ 100,000 per vehicle. Up to 4 vehicles per sale.
Time: From 5 to 20 minutes per mission to get the car. Up to 15 minutes per car sales mission.
Compulsory Investment: You need to own an CEO office - from GTA$ 1,000,000. The prices of vehicle warehouses (excluding improvements) vary between GTA$ 1,635,000 to GTA$ 2,850,000.
Recommended investment: To greatly reduce expenses by repairing vehicles and to ensure delivery will be done without damage to the car, it is recommended to purchase a Cargobob - GTA$ 1,790,000.
Requirement: Be active in your CEO business.

This is a way to get money quickly. Depending on your luck, in just over an hour you can make up to $ 400,000. Unlike product missions, which require a certain determination on the part of the players, because they are very repetitive missions, here you have faster events and more dynamic missions. Your business can simultaneously own only one vehicle warehouse.

There are 32 cars available to be stolen, each one has 3 different variations. Here you do not earn the sale value of the car, but rather a commission proportional to the value of the car. "Top" cars pay up to GTA$ 100,000 (GTA$ 20,000 modification cost), "mid" cars pay up to GTA$ 62,500 (GTA$ 12,500 modification cost) and "standard" cars pay up to GTA $37,500 Modification of GTA $7,500). All damage that the cars took during delivery is deducted from your commission, as well as all damage that the cars take during the robbery mission.

Always one of the three variations of the car belongs to a collection. You can check the Ad-Hawk website for verification. In selling the collections, there is no need to modify the cars, there is no modification cost and all members of the organization earn a bonus if all cars are delivered (up to GTA$ 50,000 for a large collection).

Missions to steal are always started at the CEO's office and have a cooldown of 2m30s between them. The missions to sell the cars are always started in the vehicles warehouse and have a cooldown between 15m to 50m between them, depending on the quantity of cars sold and the total value of the commission.

Important: Note that there is a little trick to make more money. Of the 32 cars available, 10 are "standard", 10 are "mid" and 12 are "top". If you happen to have 10 "standard" cars and 10 "mid" cars, the other 12 that will appear will be "top", after which point they will be random again. For this trick to work, the "standard" and "mid" cars can not be repeated, you need one of each. If you own repeated cars, you will need to sell one and keep the other in stock.

The trick is to keep picking up and selling only the top cars, up to the limit of 12, so you guarantee the maximum income. If you do this, you will not be able to keep doing the collections.

  • “Top” Cars: Z-Type, ETR1, 811, Osiris, Reaper, Mamba, FMJ, Stirling GT, X80 Proto, Tyrus, T20 e Roosevelt Valor.
  • “Mid” Cars: Coquette Classic, Verlierer, Zentorno, Tropos Rallye, Sultan RS, Cheetah, Seven-70, Omnis, Entity XF e Coquette BlackFin.
  • “Standard” Cars: Turismo R, Tampa, Sabre Turbo Custom, Nightshade, Massacro, Jester, Feltzer, Bestia GTS, Alpha e Banshee 900R.

You need to be in a public session to steal or sell the cars.

Tip 4: Gun Sale (CEO or MC)

Payment: Up to GTA$ 1.050.000 per sale (considering recommended investment in machinery improvements).
Time: From 11 hours and 40 minutes (considering the exclusive production of weapons, onsidering the investment recommended in improvements of personnel and machinery, also that the business has supplies all the time).
Compulsory Investment: You need a bunker, prices vary between GTA$ 1.165.000 up to GTA$ 2.375.000 (excluding improvements). Just remembering that you need to be CEO or be in an MC to be able to do the operations.
Recommended investment: Improvements for your business, at least for personnel and machinery, these two added costs equals GTA$ 1.753.500. In order to make the weapon upgrades you will need the Mobile Operations Center, the price varies between GTA$ 1.225.000 até GTA$ 2.790.000.
Requirement: Be active in your CEO or MC business.

The text relative to Gunrunning DLC was written during patch 1.40.

The operation works mostly like the the MC business: You must provide supplies that will use it to make a product, in this case weapons. Supplies are obtained through missions or purchased. Once full of the final product you can choose the destination of your sales and you can make up to GTA$ 1,050.00 per sale. As of the date of this tutorial you can only have one bunker.

Just like the MC business, you do not have to keep track of operations all the time because everything will continue to happen as long as there are supplies, and since the location is accessible as both CEO and MC while you're in free mode your phone will ring when you run out of supplies, when a research is done (in which case you do not need to do anything) and when the guns are ready to sell.

However, we have some differences that I would like to inform you: The first is that in the bunker you can do some research, it include improvements to the things that have been added in this DLC, such as additional vehicle items, textures for weapons, etc. Searches are done randomly.

On the computer inside your facility you can choose how your supplies spend will work. You will have three options (the values and times indicated in the text below consider the improvements in machinery and personnel).

  • Only manufacture guns: In this case you should fill supplies every two and a half hours. The production of weapons will be ready in 11 hours and 40 minutes.
  • Research only: In this case you should fill up supplies every 6 hours. The research will be completed in an estimated time of 4 to 6 hours (it is random).
  • Make both weapons and researches: In this case you should fill supplies every two and a half hours. Both operations will take twice as long to be ready, in this case 23 hours and 20 minutes for weapons and 8 to 12 hours for the research.

The price of bunkers vary between GTA$ 1,165,000 up to GTA$ 2,375,000, all are at the top of the map, the most expensive usually in places of easier access and that is the only relevant difference between them. There are five optional modifications (bunker style, personal quarters, shooting range, gun locker and transportation), with the most expensive options of each alternative costs GTA$ 1,695,000.

You need to be in a public session to steal or sell the cars. Remember that here on the site we have a step-by-step tutorial on how to do public sessions just for you, for this just open this link.

Remember that you can and should intersperse the business, meaning it is worth checking your motorcycle club, filling up the MC business and the bunker. then re-doing the business that require your direct participation as cargo sale and vehicles sale.

And with this we have reached the end of one more tutorial, I hope you have taken advantage of some of the tips. Remember to share with your friends!
